The location was magnificent, not far from the old city center, monuments and university area which was fine until the last night when suddenly a group of hard drug users appeared.

Positive, and I loved the generous breakfast with both pastries and made-to-order items. Our quad room was beautifully organized, and the complimentary notes and chocolates added a lovely personal touch. I'd definitely go back!

The central location and the availability of parking.
Some (night) staff had little understanding of English and showed no interest in assisting with simple requests eg asking for an iron to smarten our attire for a business meeting.

The water took a long time to get warm in the shower, but it eventually did and was fine afterwards.

Very convenient to city center. Relatively clean and quiet. They actually had an internet staying which was free (increasingly rare).
Breakfast was paltry: a roll and a cup of coffee. The phone in the room was not touch tone (quite a few in Italy aren't) so you can't make toll free calls from there and pay phones are noisy, expensive and increasingly less numerous. The older guys staffing the desk were a little grumpy and rule oriented -- they didn't want me to sit in the breakfast area to plan my day while waiting for the breakfast hour to arrive, which was a little late (8 A.M.).

The room was cozy, but the street noise was pretty distracting at night.

It was a quite big room with a TV and it was clean. To the city centre it was just a 10 min walk.
It stank in the street in front of the hostel and in the evening there where some weird people.

The breakfast was simply the best I've had. a delightful spread of pastries and hot options! The staff were helpful and accommodating. Just a heads up, street noise can be a bit distracting at night. 😅

Guido and his wife are the nice older Italian couple who run the hotel. They made my husband and I feel very welcome. At first we were disappointed with the price we paid for the room for what we got - generally I would have expected to pay a lot less for the room we had. However, the location of the hotel is what you are paying for, and the location couldn't be better. It's right off the Via Zamboni, one of the main roads leading to the two towers (about a 5 min walk from the hotel depending on how much window shopping you do on the way), and if you can handle the surrounding area being inundated with university students then you shouldn't have any problems.
The hotel did not have any internet access - although there were several internet cafes and bars with wifi nearby. The included breakfast is one brioche and packaged toast with jam, but the cappucino they serve is pretty good. Just plan to go out for 'second breakfast' if you're a good eater. Although there were a few drawbacks, the location of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff and owners more than compensate.

Nice location
Horrible customer service from the Manager to the guys at the reception. A cold and rude staff. You walk into to the reception, you say hello or ciao and the muppets at the reception just stare at you like you are scum. A very unreliable pricing system.

Prominent location near universities, lively neighborhood with student energy, historic building charm
The outdated facilities detract from comfort!!! The noise levels from surrounding nightlife can be quite intrusive!!! Improving cleanliness standards would greatly enhance the experience!!!
